Co-operative Local Community Fund

Following a very informative meeting with the new local pioneer for Castle Donington and Kegworth, I would like to share some information with you:

The applications for our local community fund open in May. When our members buy co-op branded products in store, they get 2% back for themselves, and 2% goes to local causes. More information on this can be found here: https://www.coop.co.uk/local-causes and https://causes.coop.co.uk.

You can apply for up to £150, either as stock or a cash. Applications are processed in store, we would need a headed letter detailing what the donation would be used for, a photo of this is taken during the application.

Our members have access to this via the co-op app and can use it to find groups they'd be interested in volunteering with. Find out more here: https://co-operate.coop.co.uk

Use our stores! If you'd like to promote your group in store, we have community notice boards in each store which you are welcome to use. We can also arrange dates when you can come into the store and promote your group, you'll be made very welcome, and the kettle is always on!
