Mission Statement

The Parish Council exists to ensure that, within the resources available, the parish, its environment, and local services are maintained to the highest possible standards for citizens, visitors, and those who work in Castle Donington. The Parish Council will also provide a focus for civic pride and community spirit, listen, identify, and respond to agreed local needs and should help develop a strong, secure, self-reliant, and self-confident community.

About The Council

Castle Donington is a Village in the North East corner of the District of North West Leicestershire. The 2021 census reports a population of 7346 but this is growing year on year.

Castle Donington Parish Council has 8 part-time and full-time staff and 14 Parish Councillors. It operates on an annual budget of about £600k (2024/25). It is responsible for over a dozen play areas, 3 recreation grounds, a cemetery, and a churchyard plus three buildings. These are The Community Hub on Bondgate, The Spital Park Pavilion, and The Village Hall on Moira Dale. The Parish Council provides many services and offers support to many residents, businesses, and organisations in the community,
